The infections are painful, cause oral odor, can lead to generalized infection, and if left untreated will shorten your pet's life. Prompt treatment will not only relieve pain but could also prevent kidney, heart, liver, lung and gastrointestinal infections.
A thorough teeth cleaning, with an ultrasonic scaler, under a general anesthetic followed with polishing, an antibiotic rinse and fluoride treatment will help to ensure a return to normal oral health.
