Diagnostic procedures

Ultrasound

Ultrasound—This procedure allows us to image various parts of the pet's body to aid in diagnosis and treatment, all in a non-invasive manner that is less stressful for your pet.

Digital Radiology—Our hospital uses the newest and most advanced radiology equipment available. This means your pet is exposed to less radiation, and it allows for faster diagnostics. Pictures can be processed in as soon as six seconds, and the resulting diagnostic images are more accurate. Digital radiology also allows for telemedicine referrals—we can e-mail images to a consultant for an instantaneous consultation. The use of digital technology also eliminates environmental contamination, as no chemicals are involved.

In-House Laboratory

Dental diagnostics—Periodontal disease, along with other oral diseases, is rapidly becoming one of the areas where more interest is focused as we learn more about the oral health of pets. All dental procedures are done while the pet is under anesthesia. In order to minimize the anesthetic time and maximize the quality of pictures we take, we use a digital x-ray unit specifically designed for dental procedures.

Endoscopy and video otoscopy—A minimally-invasive procedure, endoscopy and video otoscopy allows us to look into various body areas of a pet without performing surgery. Doing so allows our doctors to precisely spot problem areas, which results in more efficient surgeries and rapid, less painful recovery times.

In-house laboratory—Bloodwork and other tests may provide a window into a pet's health when medical problems arise. Our state of the art laboratory is capable of performing many tests, and we have the ability to produce immediate, on-site results.
